Eyebrow Lift
Sagging eyebrows create a heavy, tired, or angry expression — and can worsen the appearance of upper eyelid drooping. A brow lift restores a more alert, youthful appearance by repositioning the brow to its natural, elevated position.
Two Approaches
Direct Brow Lift vs. Internal Brow Lift
Direct Brow Lift
Incision placed directly above the eyebrow hairs
Most reliable lift for patients with severe brow ptosis
Very precise control over brow position and shape
Small scar hidden at the brow margin — usually invisible when healed
Best for older patients or those with thick brow hair
Internal Brow Lift
Performed through the upper eyelid incision (often combined with blepharoplasty)
No additional incision beyond the eyelid crease
Brow secured to the periosteum (bone) under the skin
Ideal for patients undergoing simultaneous blepharoplasty
Produces natural-looking, lasting results
What to Expect
Recovery & Results
Procedure performed under local anesthesia, often combined with blepharoplasty on the same day
Bruising and swelling around the eye area for 1–3 weeks
Stitches removed within 7–10 days
Most patients return to desk work within 1 week
Final results stabilize at 3–6 months as residual swelling resolves
Results are long-lasting — typically 5–10 years or more
Combined Procedures
Brow lift is frequently combined with upper blepharoplasty in a single surgery. Correcting the brow position first is important — without it, blepharoplasty alone may not achieve the desired result, or may require removal of too much skin.
